I last posted a month ago but I’m not going to blab on about that- I’m back now and that’s all that matters! I’ve been doing a lot of creative writing because my dissertation is looming and needs must- so I might be posting a little taste of my work because, if I do say so myself, it’s coming along rather well! Anyway- you may remember that about a month ago now, I got my ear pierced. Specifically, a helix piercing, which is the cartilage at the top side of your ear.
Before getting the piercing done I read loads about how it could potentially take six months, maybe a year, to heal.. NAH, surely not. It’s just a little hole in the ear right? WELL. I thought I was getting somewhere, barely feeling any grief from the little bastard, until today when I woke up with my ear absolutely throbbing. I’d rolled over in my sleep and had laid on it for a while (I’m guessing) and jeeeez did it want me to know about it.
Three times a day for the first four weeks I cleaned it with saline solution, but now I don’t bother- at advice from the piercer (piercist?). However! I still wake up and its clearly scabbed over night or whatever you call it, and I have to wipe it. Sorry for the gross deets, but if you’re considering one yourself you might need to know this!
Also, I don’t actually want a stud in my ear, I want a hoop. But God only knows when I’ll be able to change it! It is definitely still too painful to be playing with, so I won’t be getting my dream hoop anytime soon.
Basically, what I’m getting at, is that I don’t know best. When it says it’ll take months to heal, it will take months! Just a quick post, because I was itching to get back to blogging. Thanks for sticking with me!!!! I hope you’ve all been well! Thanks for reading!
