To improve the quality of my blog posts I think it’s about time I start actually editing my photos thoroughly, to make them as good as they can be, rather than a quick automated process I currently use. I had a little play around with Photoshop tonight, and I’m not going to pretend what I’ve done is good, or that I’m proud of it, but it’s a start.
I’ll leave the photos here, so one day I can look back and see how far I’ve come (hopefully!)

The darkness has made the background look better, but it doesn’t work so well on my face. I need to work out how to target certain parts of the photo…

Thanks for reading!
I love the second one !! I’m starting to use it too, and it’s quite impressive everything that you can do… When you know how to use it :p

Isn’t Photoshop fun? I don’t know half the stuff I should know about editing and tweaking photos. I think professionals use Lightroom. I’m cheap and use GIMP (which is free, open source photoshop). I highly recommend it!

It is fun yeah, but also a little frustrating when I can’t achieve what I’m imagining 😛 Oo I’ll definitely check that out because I’ve only got the free trial of photoshop for 7 days- thanks!!

You’re welcome! It has a small learning curve, but it does all the same things photoshop can do via free plugins that people make.
