Get To Know Me: 20 Facts About Me

1. My full name is Jarrad Raine Saul, and R Saul sounds a little bit like ‘arsehole’ which is unfortunate.
2. I have one sibling, a younger sister named Phoebe.
3. I study English Literature with Creative Writing at the University of Hertfordshire.
4. I’m currently on an Erasmus year in Nijmegen, Holland, at Radboud University.
5. My number one fav thing is music, listening to it and going to gigs, which is where most of my money goes…
6. I have a tiny little third nipple, which puts me in good company along with Harry Styles and Zac Efron.
7. My favourite food is probably the humble cheeseburger, and I’ve eaten enough to know good from bad.
8. My first ever job was a paper round when I was about 12, and I delivered 365 papers a week… I decided that wasn’t enough so I took on another one and added another 208 to my round. That’s a bloody lot of papers, it took me ages!
9. My first proper job was working at a Royal Horticultural Society gardens cafe and restaurant. I’d do a bit of washing up, a bit of waiting tables, a bit of food prep etc.
10. I’ve been an extra in two film- King Arthur Legend of The Sword, and Kingsman 2. I really enjoyed both shoots and I’ll be looking to do more extras work soon!
11. The first CD I ever bought was Avril Lavigne’s ‘Let Go’. I’ve just googled it- it came out 15 years ago, so I was 6! I flipping loved it, I’d play it allllllll the time.
12. My first ever live concert was Slipknot, which was a pretty intense experience. I think I was about 13, and I remember feeling like I’d basically entered another world when I walked into the Hammersmith Apollo that night!
13.  I used to skateboard religiously, for a solid 5 years of my life it was the only thing I cared about. Together with my friends, I’d spend entire summers filming skate videos, entering competitions (I never won) and getting up at the crack of dawn to get the skateparks to ourselves. Commitment that is!
14. I passed my driving test first time with one minor- woo! And my first car was a Fiat Punto which I absolutely loved and I’m still sad it’s gone to this day… R.I.P
15. I really loved British comedy; it’s my favourite television. The Inbetweeners, Peep Show, The Office, A League Of Gentlemen, Alan Partridge, The Mighty Boosh etc etc etc the list goes on and on!
16. I really really wish I was good at art, specifically painting, because who doesn’t wish that really?
17. I had guitar lessons for quite a while but I never really enjoyed it and I stopped after a few years. Learning an instrument is on my bucket list, but it won’t be anything with strings..
18. I have a real love for trainers, but no money to satisfy my love. I’m subbed to many websites about male fashion but I’m a lowly student with no means to buy such expensive items.
19. I used to play tennis for Rayleigh Lawn Tennis Club, but I quit playing competitively after my doubles partner hit me in the back of the head from a serve.
20. My favourite film ever is Submarine and the soundtrack by Alex Turner is incredible. My second fav is Her and Arcade Fire soundtrack that- my favourite band!
